QME-TaZ 100 Self Propelled

Product

The QME-TaZ 100 is a rotary bank skimmer capable of recovering up to 100 m3 of oil per hour. Interchangeable recovery modules, removable debris screens, and a robust all aluminum construction makes this a reliable and versatile skimming system. Furthermore, it is based on an OHMSETT tested design. The types of recovery modules available for this skimmer include disc, brush, and drum. Depending on service requirements, these oil recovery modules can be exchanged by hand without the use of tools.

Oil is collected onto the skimmer by the rotating oleophilic recovery bank and the subsequent cleaning action of the scraper. An onboard pump then transfers the recovered product into a collection vessel via a 4” hose. Both the skimmer and transfer pump are hydraulically powered and are controlled by a control panel. For power, the skimming system can be connected directly to a ship’s hydraulic system or to an optional diesel hydraulic power pack. The system is also available with a wide range of options including a floating umbilical hose with a handling reel, a dedicated launching crane, maneuvering thrusters, and a radio remote control module.
